Befriending Death ~ Holding Space for Grief ~ An Invitation to Live Fully
Spend the afternoon with Ann Peck and Emily Snow Davis, End of Life Doulas, who want to
normalize the conversations about death and dying and create a safe space for you to share
your
vulnerabilities, curiosities and fears. They believe that talking about death, and the fragility of it
all reminds us how to live.
Through reflection and conversation you will explore mortality and what it means to live fully
while facing impermanence.
*Fears, beliefs and questions about death
*What gives life meaning and purpose
*Values around care, dignity and legacy
What matters most? Most of us live as if we have unlimited tomorrows. Often we don’t say what
needs to be said, repair what needs to be fixed or ask important questions.
*How do you want to die?
*What matters most at the end of life?
*What are your values and priorities?
“Grief is the sequel to love, not the punishment.” (Darnell Lamont Walker) There is no time limit
to grief. No rules.
*Grief of losing someone loved well
*Of the conversations that never happened
*Questions that went unasked
*A story that died with the person who was carrying it
